Paulownia is a deciduous tree, i.e. it is weather-dependent, with leaves falling down in the fall/autumn and then sprouting in the spring.
Its growth intensifies during the spring and summer, l starting in from February to April, depending on the region.
Maximum height is over 30 meters with a trunk three feet in diameter. Crown width can easily exceed 10 meters.
The roots are very strong with a depth of up to 9 meters.
The flowers are white and purple, with a bell-shaped grape size of 7-8 cm. They are very striking and are used as feed for animals and in salads in some countries.
The leaves are large, at approximately 60 cm wide, especially in the first year of growth. They are suitable for use as fodder(fresh or dried) and very quickly decompose to form an excellent organic fertilizer.
